Welcome to BCCH
We are based within the City of Carlisle.
Carlisle is not a large City with sprawling suburbs, it is a rural City that has direct access to the Border lands, the Pennines, the Solway coast and, of course, the Lakes. It is also situated directly on the ancient route of Hadrian’s Wall, which stretches West to Bowness on Solway and East to Wallsend in Newcastle.
In order to have the best opportunity to discover and enjoy this historical landscape, we recommend that it is tackled by bicycle as it offers the best balance between being able to travel a greater distance than by walking, whilst not missing any of the detail that travelling by car does.
Our aim is to provide you with safe, well-serviced, easy to RIDE Bikes, so that you can EXPLORE the extensive network of cycle paths, bridleways and rural roads that pass through and also surround Carlisle – You’ll be amazed by how much there is to DISCOVER and enjoy!

If you are visiting the city by car, WEST WALLS (CA3 8AU) and CALDEW RIVERSIDE (CA2 5BN) council car parks are great meeting places as they are located close to Carlisle City Centre and offer well maintained all-day parking, with easy access to nearby national cycle routes.
